Australian sporting power couple Mark Worthington and Dana Hooker enjoyed the perfect ending to 2023 by getting married.

The pair shared photos of the magical day on their social media accounts.

“What an ending to 2023, bring on 2024,” Worthington tweeted.

Hooker said it “was the most amazing day” on Instagram.

Basketballer Worthington, 40, and AFLW star Hooker, 32, have been together for four years and were engaged last May.

The wedding was a family affair with their children all involved.

Worthington has two sons, Taz and Axel, with his ex-wife, while Hooker has a daughter, Alice, from a previous relationship.

Worthington enjoyed a stellar NBL career for multiple teams and was a member of the Boomers squad at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

He is a four-time All-NBL First Team and was a key member of the Melbourne Tigers’ championship-winning team in 2009.

Hooker has been one of the standout AFLW players since being selected by Fremantle in the inaugural draft in 2017.

She won the Dockers’ best and fairest in her first year and was a two-time All-Australian before leaving for West Coast ahead of their debut season in 2020.

The midfielder was named Eagles vice-captain and won the best and fairest in her first year at the club.

She missed nearly the entire 2021 season after a knife fell from her kitchen bench and lacerated a tendon in her foot.

But she returned the following year and has been a key part of the Eagles’ midfield.

Hooker will have a new coach next year with AFLW icon Daisy Pearce appointed last month in a massive coup.
